About

Background

I grew up in Anaheim, California, five minutes from Disneyland. After high school, I moved to New York where I attended a joint program at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and Columbia University, meaning I have two BA degrees - one in Bible and one in Film. I also have a Masters Degree in Film, so yes, one day I plan to direct The Ten Commandments Part II.

Over the years I had many opportunities to visit Israel, but it was only after my 17th trip that I decided to stick around for good. I moved to Jerusalem and joined an intensive five-month Hebrew learning program. 15 years later I'm still here, living in Israel's center, raising two beautiful children.

It took me two seconds to fall in love with Israel—her sounds, smells, food, and pretty much everything else. It's such a unique country with so much to see and experience. I've had the good luck to explore all its nooks and crannies, and becoming a licensed guide was icing on the cake (or tehina on the pita).

Guiding Philosophy

My guiding philosophy is simple: envision, enrich, enjoy

Envision: I cater my tours to your requests. Some visitors are Israel newbies, and put their trust in me to create a perfect itinerary for them. Others have a specific vision, and I do just as they ask. More often than not, clients will have an underlying idea of what they're looking for and we work together to build a trip that meets their expectations.

Enrich: Israel is an educational waterfall, gushing with history, religion, and culture. I try to infuse my guiding with a mix of all three without putting too much focus on exact dates and statistics. My goal is to give you an overall better understanding of Israel's faceted development and influence in both ancient and modern times.

Enjoy: This one is most important. I'm no Seinfeld, but I do try to keep my guests laughing and in a good mood. Additionally, Israel is chock-full of entertaining and interactive activities appropriate for all ages. Making fresh pita bread in the desert, digging for relics in underground caves, and riding in jeeps down  mountain roads are just a few examples of what you can partake in. Bottom line, this is your time it should be as fun as possible!
